Here is a quick concept drawing of an alien species I often sketch when I get tired of Earthly species. I love drawing aliens, so I may start posting some of them here too.
Anyway, Xepterids have various forms and adaptations, but this is just a general example. They naturally live in thick gaseous environments, somewhat between the consistencies of air and water, which they fly through effortlessly using their many paddle like wings/fins. Due to their natural hardiness, they can adapt and morph their shape to survive in foreign environments as well. These guys are highly intelligent and posses psionic and regenerative abilities. They also are very curious and stealthy. I think they are rather cute. Perhaps I will upload more of them if people want. :]

Sorry, I was imprecise... I said the above in general terms, not in relation to any of your characters. I think you tend to design a lot of your creatures with human frame (anatomy, proportions), and you've worked it out really well (in other words, I love it).
I was suggesting picking a 'strange frame', and using it as a basic limb/muscle/proportions layout to various degrees.
