But on the other hand, while she's staying calm and comes so close to actually admitting she's at fault, she still manages to dance around the fact that her treatment of them has anything at all to do with why they don't like her. So, I dunno, seems like one step forward and another right back.
That's a good point, I hadn't noticed that until now. Still, I believe that, to her credit (or lack thereof, heh), she did state to Miles during their meeting that she had employed him under an "idiotic pretense" that she "feels ashamed for even trying", which implied to me that she at least now acknowledges that how she went about hiring Miles was wrong and unethical.
Plus, when Mora discussed how Las Lindas is becoming bigger than what it was before, she stated that "things can't go on the way they've been going" and that she wants to be a good boss, the kind that "earns your hard work as much as you earn your pay", this also implied to me that Mora's beginning to realize that she needs to start acting more professionally rather than personally in a lead position she has at the farm if she wants to at least earn the co-workers' hard work and respect. It certainly isn't just the two felines' attitudes/habits at work that needs to change.
At least, that's the impression I've gotten, thinking it over. I think one of the key things to take from this page is how Mora can be very prideful/stubborn at times, and how it's reflected in this case with how she dances around how her treatment of Miles and Rachael up to this point resulted in their current impression of her now. It's one of the vices in her personality...like Miles' ego, for example. Heck, I remember in an early page way back in the comic where Minos had sort of called her out on said pride...to which responded with a snippy remark at him to dismiss it of course. Xb (I'll have to find the page, I forget where it is exactly).
...I think I should just stop from there, as I'm going off on a tangent and over analyzing at this point with this wall of text. ;^^

Y'know, it's really Mora's own fault that Rachael became so unproductive, being the one who purposely gave her the lowest position AND forced her to work under a man she doesn't like and finds creepy. Before that, she was actually doing good at her given job in publicity and accounting.
