Well I based them off of kitsune-like looks but they in fact are just thousands of souls combine together and take on a form of a "fox" and as most in Japanese myth Fox are referred to Kitsune often , and I took that idea and made them into a original species on their own since as I said in the description they are just souls bunch together to make a form that humans see.
