I recall some Petroglyphs of tall figures mentioned in one of Von Danikins' books, which kind of spoiled things for the rest of us. Some of the giant drawings on the Nasca plains were ruined by tourists driving dune buggies over them. Hopefully the rock carvings you mention are well away from Tourist traffic.
first thing please, don't tell people where it is. second thing it might be a map or it might be a lesson in how to live, or it may even be some combination of both. either way these things inestimable value in their non-physical sense. like churches and classrooms. what the people who made it intended was known to them. odds are very good, there are people alive today who to whom it has specific meaning.
number 3 thanks for posting the image.
number 4 i will probably use it as map to build a 3d village or bit of countryside with. as i have done with several others.
this may even be one of the ones i've done that with. sort of looks kind of vaguely familiar. or rather a the interesting part of one that i wasn't as able to see this part as clearly before.
there's one in california that is believed to be a water allocation map for the northern sacramento river.
all of these things are special, even if they weren't to the people who lived in the area for thousands of years, simply for being something that was made longer about, then any book of religion, architecture or engineering.

I love petroglyphs and cave paintings, I come across them often on Geological trips in the Mojave and other high desert and native American areas. Though it is getting harder and harder to find them intact where some stupid teenagers have not drawn penises and pop culture references all over them.
