The system removes whatever clothing you are wearing and puts it back in the locker and replaces it with the costume which has special circuitry in it so that it arrives placed correctly on your body.
The civilian clothes in the locker can't be called correctly because they lack the circuitry and won't even make the transfer back.
Theoretically, you could send the costume back to the locker with the phone and call it again except that your clothes won't be part of the exchange. Only the initial transfer replaces the mundane clothes.
Cancer is working on coming up with some backup clothes with circuitry in them so the characters can change back and forth more easily. The only problem is that is will be the same set of clothes each time.

Now that was funny, both with his attempt as a horny kid to get her naked in front of everyone and her pointing out being drop-dead gorgeous doesn't make her stupid although I do love that last little thought bubble of envy for the kid getting squished up against her like that. Plus she's smart enough to pretend simplicity to get everyone around her off guard and give her a tactical advantage and that's a plus if handled well.
