This is a sketch of my golden jackal 'sona Auric in his wingless realistic-ish anthro form and dressed as a monk, scholar or fantasy wizard. He is shown here in a small room of a rough stone building that is built into the side of a cliff.
The awesome artwork is by
twistgryphon who has done several sketches of Auric for me and is doing a great job on this one (go check out her gallery). This is a great example of her realistic-ish style.
This started out as a followup sketch to http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13729597/ that Twist and I liked so much I asked her to add a background, then to turn it into a color digital painting. Twist never posted the WIP sketch, but the final colored digital painting can be found in her gallery: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/13589543/
A lot of thought went into this, especially the background, and I'm really happy with both this sketch and how it turned out as a digital painting.
