This is going into scraps soon
I guess I'm throwing this out there as a sort of poll, I've been looking at changing the font I use for my comics. Just wondered of any stood out to anyone, and yes... I'll get back to making porn after this. Note: "Wee!" and "Doing" are both in bold.
Fonts to choose from:
"Kid Kosmic": The font I have been using for years after discovering how useless Comic Sans was as a comic font. It holds up but I find it rather wide and the "bold" is too subtle.
"Creative Block": One of the block fonts I've found. This one has a lot of "bounce" to it and is pretty readable and has good Cap-height though the "R" sits a bit low. Said to be consistently kerned.
"Mufferaw": Another blocky font that probably has the most consistent Cap-height and is almost like a light serif font. The "Y" is very distinctive and the font is oddly "Asian" in character. Like it kind of resembles Japanese characters to me. Unfortunately the font doesn't have a bold version, though I'm able to achieve the effect with a stroke.
"Sunday Comics": One of the few comic fonts out there with lowercase letters, which is a plus because it's nice to have the option. It has excellent cap height, the "A" is flat at the top in this one. Characters are kind of in random rotations though, the font suffers readability somewhat.
"Digital Strip": Probably most cap-height next to Mufferaw, the bold is large and distinctive in this font too. Overall very readable. Might have the best kerneling.
"Evil Genius" I have to admit I was attracted to the name of the font. It's very angular and has thick bowls which makes it readable despite being more compressed then Kid Kosmic. Has a very strange "S".
"Crime Fighter" is very italic and thin, has a real handwritten look to it too. Might have the same problems Kid Kosmic had being too wide.
"Anime Ace": Nice and compressed, has a very distinctive "A". Bold version is little less readable. Has a calligraphy look similar to Evil Genius.
"McLaren" Only blocky font I've found that has lower case. It's lowercase is more readable then Sunday Comics. I feel like it's a bit too close to Comic Sans. Doesn't have a bold option.

My favorite of these is Digital Strip, followed by Creative Block, then McLaren. The rest seem kind of busy and/or inconsistently kerned.
I think all of them would be better in a bigger size than here (like at least 1.5x bigger), but I realize you were trying to fit 9 examples into a reasonably-sized pic. :)
