MLP Design Trade with  MattsyKun

This was the other pony character I got a chance to design. So once again, this was a design trade. We each gave each other a MLP name from an online generator as well as a few things to avoid, and then just ran with our imaginations and created characters from scratch!

When I got the name "Sparkling Latte" I had a few thoughts quickly come to mind. 1) I wanted her hair to be coffee colored, not sure how but knew that much and 2) I wanted to know what made a latte different from normal coffee LOL. I don't drink coffee so I really had no idea, so google I went! After seeing a bunch of pics of the designs made in the coffee cups from the milk that was added, then it all started to click...

I wanted to make her sorta like that hip filly barista that everyone in ponyville comes to when they need their quick coffee fix. I kept her hair kinda spunky and tied back so it's not in the way while she makes drinks, also I kept her hair colored like the colors of a latte as cream is added to it. ^^ I have her wearing a 3/4 sleeve white shirt and a green apron, okay so I did sorta cop out with the "Starbucks" look to her but I do rather enjoy green and brown together LOL.

Her cutie mark is milk being poured into a cup and the swirls of coffee form a shooting star, since I didn't think that alone would get across the "Sparkling" name, I added a few star accents to it as well. I gave her purple eyes since purple is always a great contrast to not only brown but green as well.

And there she is! ^^
