I worked with her on this for ages before getting it. I wanted something orginal and with meaning so I took a part of me, One of my fursonae... scalesonae... herpetry? whatever. And put that part of my personality on my leg, so each day I can look down and see who I am. Plus it looks amazing each time I look at it, and I've had it for what 5 years now...
The only thing I would have changed in retrospect would have been to get the tail spiralling down my calf to wrap around my ankle... which would have looked wicked. But the only person I would want to work on it would be her.
I was lucky enough to find her apprenticing at the best studio in town, I had known her art from posters selling comissions of D&D character sketches in local comic shops. SHe had drawn a sign for the studio and walking past I just had to find out who did it, which just happened to be the girl at the counter. I comissioned her then and there to do my ink when she was done her apprenticeship, which was like 8 months later, soI got it for 80$. I was her first real customer.
