Satisfied, the dragon left the poor, wet, tired wolf hanging there, like a set of drying clothes. Maybe he planned on letting him dry just to continue his fun the next day. Maybe he'd eat the wolf. Maybe he'd make him work as a slave, or worship his draconic power.... or maybe he'd just forget about the shackled youth, letting him hang there until he died of starvation. Not of thirst, obviously, as the wolf currently found himself covered in a gallon of saliva. Wet, smelly, gooey, slippery saliva.... so slippery...
The wolf started pulling on his wrists, twisting them in their shackles, feeling the saliva trickle down his wrist and arms. If only he could slip... just a little... further...

His body will probably get stiff as he begins to dry. At least he gets a break. I imagine the dragon had those shackles there for such occasions.
So he's trying to slip his wrist out of the cuffs? I hope he isn't too high off the ground. Also, how will he get his feet loose? Where is the dragon? This is getting very interesting.
