The cloven-hooved guardian of apt. C.
Staring at the bathroom floor for so long has revealed to me the strange pattern in which tiles chip away when they get old.
I'm not posting stuff at the V.C.L. anymore, so I can do stuff like leave the coils of my sketchbook binding in the picture.
I wanted to see what I look like when I don't try to make myself look short, so I drew a door behind me that was about the height I am in the picture, and it just looks like it's a five-foot-tall door. Cartoon characters always look short, though.
How do you like the lighting? Strange lighting is kind of my specialty.
That's my dress loincloth by the way. And my nice coat, on which the patches are actually the same color as the rest of the garment.
Hmm . . . I think that might be where I live in my alternate universe. You're a Iehovah's Witness and Ahundred's all like "shoo."

Oh wow...that's so pretty. I love these strange backgrounds that you always draw with your character. Plus Ahundred looks to be quite the snazzy dresser. Is he standing guard as some sort of guardian? Or is he awaiting for the damned to take them down to that place? Nice work.
...I don't think that it looks like a five foot door behind him. In fact I didn't even recognize the character as Ahundred at first, on account of largeness not being a quality I'd normally associate with him. Also, coloring over the binding is a really nice touch, and the lighting is indeed amazing.
Also I do not like the thought of alternate universe me being an Iehovah's Witness. Maybe I could be a traveling salesman instead? it'd fit with the era, no?

Fluorescent lights in the back, and is that firelight from the front? The different shadows where the lights sources cross / don't cross are really danged nice.
Re: looking short, I think it's because the view angle on him is at about neck/head level, so there's a bit of a "looking down" kinda feel on him even though the POV on the door is somewhere around the second stone down from the arch. It keeps changing as I keep staring at it though, so it might just be me.
And even though it won't ever have a useful application in drawing, I do like how the colors go onto the spiral binding. Looks neat.

Once again, your attention to detail is esquisite! Fantastic outfit! I really enjoy the pinstripe loincloth. The shadowing is well done, too. It's quite difficult to draw shadows properly with mulitple light sources but you did a fine job. I also noted your little monogram on the floor. Your works don't come often but are well worth the wait.
It reminds me of my apartment building, with the stone like that; and the tiles are the same in my bathroom. Only my place is better maintained. :P
I like the way the light gets darker on the bricks around the stone frame. He must be getting a hell of strong light shone on him, though, as I'm assuming it's otherwise a night scene. The interior, though...florescent lighting casts a much more unflattering pall, and the hallway looks too bright (as in perky and upbeat) rather than sickly and dingy or dull.
The "dress loincloth" is nice, by the way. Very smart looking. The pocket watch is a nice, classy touch as well. :) Bravo! I hope this was helpful at least. *leaves gift to ameliorate any hard feelings*

What inspired me here was the stuff my Father used to paint on our front door when I was a kid (once or twice a year we'd take the old door off and hang it at his galleryspace downtown, then buy a new door and he'd paint a new picture) and something very similar to Ahundred here lived on our front door around 1999. Everyday (everyday! Old Saybrook was quite a religious town) we'd watch Ievovah's Witnesses walk up the long front steps, hesitate, then step back down. What he painted on the Chrysler didn't help either.
