I always thought you were really against things like this. You used to notify me of the smallest hint of ignorance or discrimination in my poems, I'm very surprised that you wrote this. This is rather offensive to me.

Chua are an 'evil' race from the game Wildstar. They refer to themselves (and talk) in third person, and a running joke in the community is that they think they're the master race they're just too busy blowing things up in the name of science to bother running things. This is in character.

Fantasy =/= reality, man.

I have a very good friend who told me all about her encounters with bullying at her old high school in Philadelphia. She is Chinese, and was once bombarded with racial slurs against her. One of them was "Chua". (http://www.urbandictionary.com/defi......php?term=Chua) I assumed you were referring to Chinese people when I read this poem, because Chinese people are often stereotyped as violent and are often mocked for their non-mastery of English. I see now that you didn't write this with that intent, but it still is extremely offensive in that context.

Urban dictionary isn't exactly an official peer reviewed source of information. Second the only thing I find when I look up 'Chua' on Google is links to the Wildstar wiki or a bunch of people named Chua. In fact the only place I've found it is urban dictionary.

If it's that well known a slut I doubt Carbine would have gone with it for a race name since that's one of the first thing game developers vet when they're naming races or characters since a lot of their potential business will be in China.

I'm sorry your friend got bullied but it's not my fault that Wildstar just happened to pick an obscure slur as a the name of one of their races.

I only cited urban dictionary because I wanted to confirm that it wasn't spelled differently than I thought it was. I texted my friend and she told me that that was the only time she ever was called that name. Perhaps it was a very local phrase? I have my doubts as well that the makers of Wildstar would let something like that slipped through.

Not sure what's so offensive about this poem but I liked it. Fun little poem about fun little people. Not exactly certain why I can't play games and make things at the same time either :/

I try to limit my gaming to a few hours a day so that by the time Silver gets home I can spend time creating stuff either with him or for him plus time to spend with my mates of course.

My mate plays the same video game I do so it's like when I'm playing the game I'm spending time with him and it's really nice to do things with him as opposed to having him watching TV and me being alone doing something else.

Yeah Kur and I used to do the same thing. We played a lot of Everquest together. We don't really play games together much anymore but we hang out in Second Life and yiff each others brains out now and then so we have closeness time lol we just don't spend a TON of time together cus we'd drive each other nuts.
