[ He'd sat there for hours until the night and the screams of the monsters outside of his apartment faded with the dawn. His eyes were still red and cheeks stained with salt from the tears that he hadn't wanted to cry the previous day and much of the night. He didn't even register the sound of his adopted sibling's usually comforting voice nor did he do more than tuck his face into the larger man's shoulder when Serinos gathered him as gently as any china doll into his muscled arms. The city passed by them in a blur of color and voices, their trek seeming to last for a small eternity despite only lasting about a half hour. His silver haired brother had walked slowly to show the little blond kindness.
But all too soon he found himself being bathed and adorned in gems and silver paints by a half dozen Acrila like himself. It was tradition for the bonded of his race to prepare a bonded candidate for their ceremony. And while normally this was supposed to be a moment of companionship and love for the Acrila, Daaha could not find it in himself to feel anything other than despair. His heart clenched in his chest painfully as his thoughts drifted back to Arc, the man that up until a mere twelve or so hours ago had been someone Daaha could have fallen in love with; had fallen in love with. Betrayal curled low in his belly followed quickly by rage.
He'd never really been one to anger, being mostly peaceful and outwardly calm, but everyone in the room including the guards at the door could sense the nearly tangible violence that seeped from the small Acrila's every pore. Arc was a goddamned Mage. He had LIED to Daaha. Mages were the thing the little blond hated mages more than anything alive or dead. They were cruel and vile, terrible masters that lorded over the Acrila. How foolish he had been! He closed his eyes as a female fluttered about his face, sticking brilliant amethysts to his cheeks and lining his large dual colored eyes with black and silver.
And he had foolishly believed that the man had honestly cared for him, had WANTED him. Oh Arc wanted him alright, as a toy and a familiar to boost his own magic and status. For a moment Daaha had forgotten that in the end, he was a monster, a tool to be used and fucked and nothing more. And that was all he would ever be, just another jewel display to the world.]
A scene from the long running roleplay I have been in with my dear Jess. God it's been...four? five years? Sheesh. xD This is Daaha again, my lovely hermaphrodite. <3 3 hour speed paint <3
