From a rendering perspective, this is really cool, but I find the sword was mis-placed, compositionally. It keeps drawing my eye, when it clearly shouldn't. I would say you should have angled it the other way (pointing towards outside the screen), instead of pointing at the character. But something is keeping my eyes on the sword, and it might be the flow of the character and his tree... it's hard to say.

ah, I see it too, I feel like if it pointed the other way it would have framed the character a bit better. thanks for the crit! <3
