This week we actually did not have a Thursday Prompt... so I decided to do something just a little bit different. Not being in a position that I can donate cash, I figured I could perhaps at least donate my talents.
This story is for FA. If you like it, and I hope you do, donate a buck to Fur Affinity. (as in all things, more would always be welcome)
Perhaps, we might even get them to put in a chat room... and how cool would that be?
*smiles sweetly... enjoy...

I remember spending a lot of time on the fysh.org newsgroups. I made friends, talked to interesting people, saw great artworks and read fantastic stories. Then the newsgroups faded as other archive sites became popular.
Now those archive sites are places I hardly ever go. Fur Affinity has become a kind of online home for me. It has the same things the groups and archive sites had; lots of wonderful offerings from many talented people. But somehow it's better. It's as if everyone figured out that this is the place we were waiting for, and those others were just stops along the way.
An excellent story and a terrific way to show how most of us here feel about our online home, Ms. V. =)

There are stupid foxes out there...the one who couldn't get the grapes, or the one who tried to trick the stork at dinner but ended up having the same joke played on him a day later...or one of my favorites.
"Oh cat, I have ninety nine strategies, devices, and tricks for when the hounds come running; how many have you?"
"Oh fox, I have but one, and if it fails me, I am done."
The hounds came running. The cat immediately fled up a tree, and was saved. The fox tried each one of his ninety nine strategies, devices and tricks, and they all failed; the fox was torn to pieces. The end!

I think most of us can relate to a similar desire.
I'll admit the ending caught me off guard. It's like waking up from a dream of dreaming you were waking up from a dream. Too often short stories are ruined because their ending doesn't really conclude anything. This leaves a strong feeling and food for thought. Thanks as always for your efforts.

Charming. Can't really relate, as my offline life is the controlling part of my life, FA is just something to amuse me on my freetime and a place to upload my prose. But anyway, very interesting glimpse to a mind of a person to whom an Internet forum can be an outlet for her own creativity and a method of develop one's personality. I hope the girl of the story can protect herself from the more darker side of FA. Amusing story, I enjoyed reading this.
