Page four of a artist's imitation of Edward Gorey. There was a couplet to go with each page to tell a story, but it didn't really work out as I only had time to complete four of the pages~

Couplets for all four pages:
Deep in an alleyway coated with frost
Sat a small child who long had been lost
There was no one to love him and no one to see
How he shook and he shivered with each winter breeze
Alone he wandered then closed his eyes tight
And found a place that was clear and bright
He held onto this fantasy day after day
Until the poor child, at last, wasted away
