This is a digitally colored version of -> THIS INK <- which is based on a pencil by
tegerio featuring
marmelmm's character, Tali Hartoh-Mason.
A hi-res version (which is cleaner than this) is being sent to Tali's creator for his own use.
Done with permission from all parties concerned.
TRIVIA: Why a martian pimp? The original drawing clearly shows the character is in a "Spy Guy" wide-brimmed hat, dark glasses, and overcoat (maybe he's trying to hide in plain sight). However, I couldn't figure out why a spy would be more interested in what's growing in Tali's skin instead of what she's carrying in her head, so I changed his complexion to a greenish hue and made his coat purple. Viola!
Then I found out the original artist thought the pencil looked like himself. Oops. No hard feelings, I hope.
Amusing details: the police callbox that looks like a mailbox is from the original. Ms. Hartoh-Mason's job involves traveling cross-wise through time instead of just back and forth, so she was appearantly visiting a place where different historical choices were made as to how things would work.
With this in mind, I added more oddities. Note the brass streetlight with the green light at the top and the red at bottom, and the generic bank with a symbol that we would normally recognize as the International Red Cross.
Except for the word balloons and panel gutters, there is only one spot in this entire page that is white. If you have nothing better to do and are easily entertained, guess where it is (it's really small).
