at some point I'll probably be having this discussion with a woman. Technically had one similar. A long time ago. People are kind of quick to push the your gay button. I literally had a talk with my Husband kinda like this lol. Was trying to explain that the Bara artist community, and the furry community overlap alot. Cause he was like sooo its okay if your a furry, and have a persona. And I'm like Sweetie I'm not a Furry I just really like Bara art / Transformation art. He still has his suspicions, and is waiting for me to come out of the fur closet. We have friends who are in the community so its not like totally foreign, but still he doubts me lol.
