this was a ten minute quickie for my dear ashes in response to a poem she posted on myspace...

Dismantle

Rip this ticking bomb from my chest,
Don't mind me, I am not really attached to that next breath,
Clip the wires that run my timer through, snip the green, then the blue,
There goes me, and then goes you,

Dismantle this machine one frame at a time,
Disassociate the programs to protect what once was mine,
Sell the bits of fractured soul,
For bits of broken glass words, and promises cast in fools gold,

Profit off all thats salvageable from this classic wreck,
Pull together and burn whats left,
Scatter the ashes to the wind,
So that I may loose my beginning in it's ending and become to myself a better friend.
