Okay, so we're clear, I don't do fanart or gift art.
That being said, here's some fanart which is also gift art. <XD Saw this movie last...Friday I think, and it was a lot of fun (started sketching this almost immediately after getting home). I appreciated that it was basically a serious kung-fu movie for everyone but the panda, which was like watching a kung-fu movie fanboy get plopped into a kung-fu movie. I appreciated the animation and the fact that it actually looked good (although the intro just made me pine for a good, solid 2D animated film again), and...the art direction. <3
And really, I HAVE to go look for that art book at Comic-Con now. MUST HAVE. <XD Thanks, Louve. <XD Our bookstore doesn't have it in stock here, dammit...it would have been nice to use that 30% Borders discount coupon. <XD
I am sad yet amused that my favorite part of drawing this was the hat. <XD

i saw this the day you put it up buuut kept forgetting to comment even though i was sending it to folks because i was, in a word, squeeing, so much over it.
yeah i said it.
and i am glad you enjoyed the film!! i'd recommend getting the book online since i paid dearly at borders. i have no idea if they discount things at cons though :p
but back to the picture, this is adorable!!! and so very unexpected. its mighty sweet of you since i know you're busy and all. alex looks adorable in your style [pfft, its so cute anyway] and the beardy beard works quite well for the subject matter >:]
so yeah, i freaking love this and get a kick out of the fact that this popped into your head after the movie XD <3

see, i figured that'd be the case with a lot of folks because whenever i asked anybody about their feelings on the upcoming film most were dismissive and not very interested. so i'm glad it helped!
