Okay.. I was out pushing Oil on Canvas today. First time in months I've exercised my Kolinsky brushes and the oil paints.
Back in January (at Further Confusion no less) I sketched out a vineyard scene onto a 9x12 inch canvas.
The scene is actually from a real location near my house, and I thought it would make an interesting study in oils, than in watercolor (original sketch was & still is planned as a watercolor).
So, during the local County Fair I took my stuff over and painted. This is how the canvas looked after just 1 hour's time. As you can see I'm blocking it out rather well.
The vineyard's visible, if only lightly sketched in paint. In the next set of images, I'll show the progress. This should be done within the week.
If this had been the actual "Plein-Air" competition... I would needed this complete in 5 hours! Here..., I'm taking my time.
