Hope you'll forgive me for a little sad story.
In 2002 during one of my trips to a con in California a friend took me to visit the grave of Jerome Howard, better known as Curly of The 3 Stooges.
As you can see it was a much visited gravesite with fans leaving tributes to him.
I've been a huge fan of The Stooges for as long as I can remember so their was a lot of mixed emotions during the visit.
You remember all the laughs but also I kept thinking of what had happened to force him to retire.
The guys were filming a short and Curly was needed for a scene but could not be found. Moe finally found him sitting in a chair unable to move with tears running down his cheeks. He'd suffered a stroke and was paralyzed.
Still one of the saddest ends to a great comedian.
