4x4" canvas. Mixed media. Another little one for the AC art show!
Did you know pill bugs (sometimes called "roly-polies") are not insects? They're crustaceans! But my "bug people" include cousins and friends like spiders and pill bugs. :)
This is the original work for one of my recent button designs.

You're welcome! It's fun to watch them all come out of hiding in the evening after a good mist! I have orange isopods and our local grey ones. the orange are new, so I hope they establish themselves quickly like the others have!
Also, if you like cockroaches at all. Polyzosteria Mitchelli is a beautiful species. I think they'd look amazing in your style if you ever chose to draw them! It's a species that I'd love to keep, but it's doubtful I ever will due to Australia's borders being closed off for exportation. :/ There are so many amazing invertebrates over there! Especially of the roach kind!

No problem! :D Cockroaches, amazingly enough, are fun pets! I have three sub species of glowspot roaches, and so far the Subcinctas are the most active, day and night. The males will battle each other and chase females around, lol. The Grossei rarely come out now that I've given them sbustrate that they can build tunnels in. My verrucosa are still just babies, and they are quite shy, so I rarely see them.
I could go on for days about roaches, lol!
