Ah, grayscale method, ever so efficient!
I see you go pretty crazy over on the shadows, lots of contrast... the ultimate result is that much better. Sounds fair. I truly should try this out myself eventually.
Is it just me though or do neither the grayscale nor flat colors have a fur texture, whereas the finished product does? Do you just add it afterwards, or is there something I'm missing..?

Oooooo!
I've been away from FA for a while and when I came back and saw these, my jaw nearly fell off my face (yes, gross, but brings across the feeling). I am deeply awed and amazed what you've done with my very rough sketches.
You've preserved the very unique characteristics of the Named (expanded braincase, narrower muzzle, puma-cheetah-like body), and combined them with wonderful design (coat color, facial markings, fading cub-spots, etc.)
It is very difficult to create a four-legged feline creature with near-human brain capacity and near-human brain to body ratio without having it look distorted, deformed or plain dorky. My efforts kept turning out looking too doggy. But you've done it. Congratulations!
And you are doing so much other art at the same time. Wow.
