Never ever!
The funny fact is... I'm not even a pianist in the first place! x3
I started music with almost 8 years of drums courses in a music scool, including two years of Napoleonic drums and Djembe. Then I quit, because I got tired of percussions, but also because music courses didn't suit me. I'm more of a self-taught person!
Then, when I was 16, my parents offered my a keyboard, on which I learnt a few piano licks by myself by listening to my favourite songs, but I didn't play that much.
The next year, when my dad bought both a bass and an electric guitar, that I tried my hand at them, and really REALLY enjoyed it.
Since that day I mostly practiced electric guitar by listening to Dire Straits, simply because it's my favourite band, and I've always wanted to play like Mark Knopfler!
I remember starting with the song Sultans of Swing, and I literally played it ten times a day in a dark and cold storage room under our living room. xD
As I didn't know how to read tabs, I learned by ear (Which isn't the easiest way to learn Mark Knopfler's technique!) but I was soooo motivated, and I actually did it.
Five years and some dedication later, here I am! My main instrument is the guitar, I can play fairly decent bass as well, and I have some experience in drums and percussions... Paradoxally, I don't have much knowledge with piano compared to those, although I love composing with it!
How long have you been playing piano yourself?

I've played for ix years now, hun. Just little stuff, though, like in my school's orchestra. ^^
I have my own keyboard at home as well that I play on a lot... I don't know if you're familiar with Skyrim? I'd have to say the most complicated thing I can play is the tune to the game's theme song and even then parts of it are too difficult for me to play.

I think it's my personal fav, too. I love the chord changes about three quarters of the way in. After that it starts getting more complex. You did a really great job of writing a short piece that manages to feel like its something more than it is without it overstaying its welcome.
