That's always the first step alright. I remember when I first decided to become a witch I had a close friend who's family were all wiccan flat out tell me exactly the same thing you are thinking, do research. From the picture I can tell one thing, its a bit...chaotic. You need to arrange the items you have to flow with the energies of the four elements. I suggest you get a goblet for water and an asthame (ritual knife) for fire. You should also get a censer or an incense holder for air, you got earth down with plenty of crystals so that's good. Also I gotta say, I am jealous of that beautiful pentagram, I can sense a tremendous amount of love from it plus its just so damn gorgeous lol. Good luck! thanks for the advise =3 this is just a temporary altar tho so im gonna arange it better and get some other things for it later but for now this will have to do, also i really live that pentagram but i cant sleep with it anymore since i get a grenich blue color from it if i sleep with it on^^'

I can imagine lol its best to just wear an every day normal little cheapo pentagram if you wanna wear one all the time and just keep that one around for rituals and meditation and whatnot. You don't really NEED to be wearing one all the time or even have an altar for rituals at all. The beauty of wiccanism is just that, its completely individualistic if you want it to be and very personal. As long as you do what you feel is right for you, there you go, there isn't really much when it comes to set rules aside from the rede's main rules.

good to know, i always felt religion in general is something you have to decide how you wanna do it and not folow some "rules" writen in a book by people you dont know hundreds of years ago

Well with wiccan rede its really as simple as "do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone". If you do hurt ANYONE you will be punished, 3 times over, likewise if you do good, you'll be rewarded 3 times over. Karma is literally the biggest rule and quite frankly the only truly important one. The other ones are smart to follow but you don't have to always follow them. And no, its not a master that will punish you...you will, yourself. When you wish harm on another, even if for virtuous reasons, you will be punished, simple as that. I don't make the rules, I follow them. Since you know, as I believe, its the goddess that does it, its not like I have a choice in the matter. No one human will punish me for my misdeed, I will, myself, by choosing to follow these rules and then breaking them ^^

you need to be careful though some forces aren't to be tampered with. be sure your ready before you choose

I myself am a spiritual type I focus more on my aura and spirit I feel its a bit safer for me.
