I know the feeling! I commissioned mine when I was 16 too :3 I had to work all summer to put the cash in for him.
The wait is the most aggravating part haha
Just make sure you are mostly done growing because the custom fitting is very specific and you want it to last at least 6-8 years.
As for the character you choose for the suit, you need to be absolutely certain you are happy with the design of the character.
Do you like it but not love it? Revise. Are you happy now? Revise again. Now find some bits and pieces of other peoples' characters that you really admire and consider implementing your own version of them. Revise. Can you visualize it as a suit? Great! You're ready to commission.
