This little concept was meant to be a simple take on playful expressions, upon completion, I had to step back and chuckle, in a sense I I believe dedicating this to my good friend Toby was the best idea, his playful and sweet nature matches the joyful muzzle to a T . I can seriously see him in his feral form doing something like this upon meeting just about anyone, other wolves especially…male wolves…well id have to tweek the expression to something much..much more sultry and inviting <laughs) kidding lil one I don’t want to make you sound like a slut, your anything but. None the less I officially dedicate this sample image to you Toby, till I upload the anthro sketch and create something much more in quality, be kind to him all he’s quite gentle in nature but a joy to converse with.

*Grins wide* You're getting a nice style down bit by bit, V. This has much more of a fur look, they're very nice colors that blend together well. I especially like the ears and the muzzle, and the expression. =)
I can see what you mean when you've talked about this. It does have a certain look that makes it a bit of a... flat against the paper look. I'd say that the eyes are playing a major part of it. Since they're something that really stands out in the picture it's something to be focused on, and they are a bit large. =P He's also got a bit of a flat head look, if you add in more coloring and make it rounder on the top that can help it out.
Truly love this picture all around, though. He's got such a cheerful expression. The soft greens are giving it this nice spring look to it, it's actually pretty warm.

*Nods* You'd have to make them smaller, but not TOO small. You could probably take reference off the actual character Toboe since even in wolf form he does have the most playful expression when like that. If you'd like I can take some screenshots for you since I have all the episodes on here. P:
