A portrait of Joey Paulo and Rob Barion, the two main characters of my written series. Despite their lackluster faces, they are deeply in love with each other, having met in 2006, their relationship celebrating eight years this coming August.

For some background:

Joey Paulo was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on October 16, 1982 to Andrew and Marie Paulo. Born into a poor family in a favela, he moved at the age of two with his family to the United States where he ultimately settled in Newark, Ohio. Rather rebellious as a teenager, Joey ultimately left home after high school to be a stripper, stripping for hungry men and women at gay bars around Columbus. Having grown addicted to drugs over the years, Joey ultimately was burned out from being a sex worker, leaving his vices and stripping career behind to return home to his parents in May 2006, ultimately following his father's footsteps as a gunsmith, a career that has made him very successful. Three months after making such a big step in his life, he met Rob, a frequent customer and they ultimately fell in love together- a unbreakable bond between them.

Now at nearly the age of 32, Joey now takes care of his nephew Alvin, who was sent to live with him after his father (Joey's brother) proved too unfit to raise him on his own.

Rob Barion is a wolf-malamute hybrid, born on July 26, 1982, fifteen minutes after his brother Jake. Rob is of Polish-Korean background, his father a second generation Polish-American, and his mother a refugee from North Korea. Shy, nervous, and lonely as a child, Rob's troubled growing up and subsequent gay bashing at 17 ultimately defined his unorthodox, quirky views on society and life. Because of the damage done to his face from such a violent beating, he doesn't smile very often, his fake teeth and nerve damage making it sometimes uncomfortable for Rob to smile.

The two of them are a power team together to tackle any issue that stands in their way.
