Hitori Kirilov is not human. As a result, he doesn’t get out much.
He’s been homeschooled and kept locked in various apartments by his overprotective uncle Kudya and ailing father Kuray, moving whenever the local clan notices they’ve got exiles around the corner. His only friend is a rat, and his only talent a bit of scientific sorcery called runewriting. He really has no idea what to do with his life.
Then Kuray gets too sick for them to manage alone. For the first time in years, Hitori's family sets out for help. But they get far more than they bargained for...

just one question: I live FAR away and I would REALLY love to read this book (massive weakness for supernatural fantasy) but the shipping gets prohibitive. Will there ever be an e-book/PDF version? It could be charged for the same price as US binding paperback, I don't care, I just want to read this x.x
Aww, I'm so glad you're interested in one!! Well, the book is actually published through Amazon.com, so the shipping might not be too horrendous because they ship so much all the time.
They do have an e-book option and I'm currently messing around with it... It would be available on Kindle though, so you'd just need to download the Kindle app for your computer (it is free!) I think it'll be up today, but we'll see... they might make me wait, lol!
