I've been considering using Ka-Blam to print my own graphic novel in the near future.
Would you mind telling me what you think of them? Are you satisfied with the pirint quality, working with them overall etc. I'd very much appreciate any feedback you have about them. Even if you don't have time to respond, thanks all the same.

My apologies for not noticing this comment until now.
I *LOVE* Ka-Blam. I'd probably use them even if they weren't local to me. They give you instant quotes at they stick to (barring the price of shipping) and the staff is happy to answer any questions you might have. Also, everyone who works for Ka-Blam are involved in comics as artists and writers and will not print anything in a quality that they wouldn't print their own things with. I plan on printing through them for as long as I can.
If you decide to use them, tell them that you were referred to them by Gen Whitmore, the person who brings the cookies ;)

Thank you very much for your reply.
Right now I'm trying to decide between Ka-Blam or 360 Digital Books.
Because I had the big idea to include color guest art in the book, the price to print will be a big factor as well as quality. My comic pages are in black and white, but it looks like Ka-Blam doesn't have a "partial color" pricing option, just the same price as if it were full color.
360 Digital Books I've only just found out about. They have more options for paper stock and might actually be a cheaper cost per unit. I'll need to contact them for more info when I'm closer to being ready for print. Thier website is a little more cumbersome, I think. So, we'll see.
I'm also figuring I might start out by trying to sell through "Rabbit Valley" and/or "Second Ed" to start with, just to see how long i takes to sell, say 50-100 copies before I print too many (that may be too many right there). Selling through IndyPlanet isn't a huge importance as of yet (as I need a PayPal account, too). But that means it has to be inexpensive enough to sell to them wholesale, without having the cover price too expensive. Then I start worrying about taxes and business regulations... Sorry, more info then you probably wanted or needed. I'll shut up now.
I will definitely keep your recommendation in mind in making my decision, and I will be sure to mention you referred them to me. Thanks again for your response.
