Your mileage may vary on Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Hobbit... I personally think it should have been kept to a single movie, two at the outset, and that trying to expand the story into a Lord of the Rings-style epic trilogy is robbing it of the charm and whimsy that made it distinct from the books. But darned if Martin Freeman isn't a wonderful Bilbo, and Weta Works' visuals are absolutely legendary.
