232 – The Power of Belief By admin on June 26th, 2014 [ Edit Post ]
This elf will set us all straight! Isn’t that just like an elf, to start trying to educate you when you least expect or want it? When I was a kid, this sort of thing happened all the time, at least on TV. If you ever expressed doubt or disgust about anything, some corportae mascot or PSA spokescartoon would pop out of nowhere to tell you why you were wrong. Especially if you ever said anything negative about book.s This was the late 80s, after all, and America was in full moral panic mode that the Japanese were going to take over the country with their super advanced school system and conscientious work ethic. Somehow, the solution was to increase standardized testing and also to use cartoons to shame kids into reading. If I met O.G. Readmore, I’d punch him.
Ok SHUT UP, now we’re going to talk about something cool! Ribnose, creator of Meadowhawk, has graciously donated our very first non-1929 Guttersnipe fanart! It’s Becky hanging out on the Arctic Express! I love her expression! That’s exactly the kind of manic face she would make! So adorable, check it out!

I suppose so (who else would bring it up as it if it were some kind of axiom to live by after all?). I guess it's that I've always found that the religious are often surprisingly skeptical EXCEPT in the one case pascal's wager was originally built around, and seeing his theory put to other belief systems seems funny in light of this.
