This is how we first meet Deinah in my series of short stories: perched atop a pineapple dessert bomb (not baum :3), floating uneasily above a gaping void created by a vengeful entity from the darkest reaches of the universe, and recording the events that led up to this moment on her phone. Hopefully she'll get every detail before the entity comes up to claim her as it did all the others... but the idea of going out with syrup-stained slacks pisses her off more than dying young. Go figure.
