I made an AU where Moriev is a vampire and Mayori is his charge.
Moriev was a French Nobleman, many many years ago. He was just as much of an asshole then as he was before, and in true Moriev style, he was cursed by someone he wronged. He ended up slaughtering much of the court when the hunger finally took him, and was subsequently hung.

When he didn’t die, they tried killing him in the various ways they had believed would kill vampires, but none of those worked, so they ended up tying him up, staking him through the heart and placing silver coins on his eyes before burying him in a coffin on church ground. It worked, more or less. Turns out he’s hard to kill still.

Mayori was an urchin. He grew up an orphan on the streets(he is also French), and turned to grave robbing to get by. He dug up this asshole and wasn’t superstitious enough to not take those shiny silver coins and ended up waking the bastard. In order to thank him, he turned the man instead of just tearing his throat out. But of course, having an old vampire for a sire kind of sucks. Especially if it’s Moriev.

Oh yeah and Moriev turns into a bat thing and probably uses blood powers and can influence other vampires to do his bidding if they’re low-ranking enough and/or he feeds from them. Which he usually does anyway for the power trip.
