I have felt the elder one far too often. It's worrying.

I think the difference is that, as teens, it was very easy for us to be self assured. We were young, immortal, inexperienced, and we're constantly being told that we were special little snow flakes by an over coddling educational system.

As adults in the real world, its not that easy.

We're old enough to grasp our mortality, experienced enough to know that what we do doesn't always matter, and have faced enough heart ache, rejection, and disappointment , to know that we aren't special little snow flakes.

The key, is knowing all this, but also realizing that what we know, feel, and think, is none the less worth while. Not enjoying something that is popular isn't a sign that you're broken, it just means you have different tasts than a lot of people.

Besides, it'd be boring of we all liked and watched the exact same things. As they say, diversity is the spice of life.

Age 37: I neither like nor understand this popular media and no longer care.

30 and couldn't agree more. Though in my youth I suppose I was much more as portrayed in the comic.
