Wow, this is so incredibly beautiful and detailed! Love the expression, and the ears are really uniquely and accurately done. I also don't often see "non-realistic" colors handled so beautifully. Gorgeous work, and love the wild eyes. I don't think I've seen vision from below the eyes, either, though that's kind of a cool idea, lets the eyes be more naturally positioned relative to a real animals face, I'd guess?

Yes, I thought it would be a challenge with the colors but it came out really cute just sitting there on the table haha.
The vision is through the teardcuts and also through the small portholes on the sides for peripheral vision as well. It really helps with 'tunnel vision' problems.
