I've been wanting to do more elaborate inking work for a while now, and this is my first attempt. Area shading? Crosshatching? What is this witchcraft?!
Sionnach and Miranda Deverell are a crack treasure-hunting brother-sister team who usually inhabit an age of mythology setting. But Sion's pose looked like it would work better with a handgun than with a sword, so I decided to update them to an early 20th century adventure serial a la The Mummy or Indiana Jones.
I learned a lot from doing this piece, and I decided I'm enjoying this detailed inking style enough that I'm going to be adding it as a new commission offer this year at AC!
