the effect in question most commonly appears as "prevent combat damage dealt to this creature", that effect is usually worth an extra step up in rarity (common creatures on it are usually bumped to uncommon, etc). I didn't feel it was necessary since I gave the creature a big butt of 12 toughness. 9 toughness, alone, is difficult enough to overcome. 12 toughness? Have fun trying to trample through that.
