Owen has a purity about him, an innocence despite being a practitioner of the oldest profession. And God, don't you just love that little bit of midriff? Mmm, yeah.

The thing is, he isn't unhappy. If anything, he's proud. There was a bit of dialogue I had to cut from the comic for pacing reasons which illustrated this.
He talked about how, if you're a plumber, and your buddy's got leaky pipes, it's no hassle at all for you to put your skills to use (at this point, Malloy mentions that when Owen's around, everybody's pipes start leaking).
Nobody's forcing him. He's content with his trade, proud of his skills. I always saw him that way, a tradesman, like a plumber or a carpenter. it's how I view writing as well, a craft, rather than an art.

Glad somebody remembers! These are just pain old dark jeans, though. I love how Charha's coloring style gives everything this glossy sheen.
Considering that Heathen City takes place some three years after he events of Maranatha, I'm fairly sure those leathers are ancient history... but yeah, that was a pretty good story, wasn't it? :)

I loved it! And still love it! I've read the online NaNoWriMo draft, before you polished it up and published it, so I don't know if there are many drastic story changes.. but this is three years after? I take it Osfer doesn't have his little 'toy' anymore, heh.. unless that got cleared in the publication. I'm gonna have to order it!
Oh yes, Owen Zelazny. A charming wolf from Maranatha and also a great character. Definitely there's an innocence but I also would like to add that he has this way of being a street smart kind of guy. I always felt connected with him, therefore liking him because of this fluidity with his words and his wits working simultaneously to develop his personality. :) Again, awesome character you've crafted from that creative mind of yours. :)
