...yeah, that sound you just heard was the collective populations of the Kree and Shi'Ar soiling themselves in fear. By t he ned of his career as Captain Marvel, Genis had been driven insane by the Cosmic Awareness and rewritten history at least twice in his efforts to create a "perfect" universe. And anyone who's read "The Dark Phoenix Saga" will understand why linking that to the sun-eating, Galactus-defeating Phoenix Force would generally be considered a "BAD IDEA."

Hey, two kids in love, whatcha gonna do? Hell, the fact that she also potentially has access to her mom's time travel abilities ON TOP of all that should probably get every Abstract and cosmic force in the mainstream 616 MU after her twee little butt in an instant...but, since she's in the MC2 universe, probably conceived well before Genis went nuts and well after Rachel severed ties to the Phoenix Force, she should be safe, especially with those Nega-Bands she's wearing holding her vast cosmic abilities in check, right? Right?

*ahem*...anyway...on the right is Helena Danvers, aka "Miss Marvel," the daughter of Carol "Captain Marvel" Danvers and Simon "Wonder Man" Williams. Don't snarl at me, they actually were an item for a while...she's a bit more of a bruiser type than her "cousin" Summer here, but the two of them bonded over their shared "Marvel" heritage and second-hand Kree genetics and have been largely inseparable since.

Of course, the question of how a man made entirely out of ionic energy could get anyone, even an energy manipulator like Carol, pregnant still lingers. It couldn't POSSIBLY have to do with a lonely child possessed of unfathomably vast cosmic powers desperately wishing for a "sister" could it..?
