I wanted to keep her a secret for a while but I figured hell. while I'm at uploading other heads I'll post this one too
Made on a lion/tiger base that my bf cast a little too heavy on the muzzle! i was going to sell the base as defect but I thought nggg lemme throw together my ideas for a personal character/creature I've been just babying in my mind. reference here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13817219/
Also I managed to mold some horns that the lovely
ja_wolf sent me! some goat horns! and I tested out casting some resin in them halfway that made them look kind of like a galaxy! it was an experiment and I"m pretty pleased with the results. I even put glitter in the resin! LOL http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13860150/
Head is made with some short white fur (actually unsure where I got it from, perhaps fabricempire)
Face made from fabricempire arctic fox. WHICH I RECOMMEND TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON WANTING A GOOD LONGISH WHITE FUR OH MY GOD PLEASE GET THAT FUR. IT'S SO SOFT AND PURE WHITE. BETTER THAN FABRIC.COM OR MONTEREY MILLS TRUST ME
also the cheek area has a small panel of monkeyshag 4inch pile fur
Ears are made of fosshape! also something I SEVERELY RECOMMEND FOR EARS PLEASE GET THIS STUFF IT HAS MADE EVERYTHING SO MUCH EASIER OH MY GOD OH MY GOD
Made in
2 days. (not including base prep which was swift when I had the parts) So don't worry! I didn't take too much time away to make this!
all color is airbrushed ;_; I was antsy about doing a full airbrush on fur. I prefer to use different cuts of fur the correct colors and blend them. but I went at it for this guy! and I'm glad :3 the back needs more airbrushing. it was very light, but my airbrush was having trouble doing the large amounts without taking for absolute ever.
so yes, see her in person at Rainfurrest 2014!
I finally have something I can set next to me while I work and be super happy and poke at it. Every personal mask attempt has failed royally. ROYALLY. I just had to do a different type of character entirely!

Crystal...ohmygod...Crystal...This is so well done.
The shave looks much cleaner and neater than some of your previous work. The airbrushing also looks cleaner and a lot less harsh. The symmetry looks better too.
I see NOTICEABLE improvement. You did a wonderful job on this, seriously.

yes I loved using just foamie foam sheets before but while I thought I could keep the curves in them. I was wrong Xb even sewing them in a curved shape just didn't work out ever. like. it would just somehow pull straight again and be a flatter ear Xb since I have to sew ears into the hood and are often not connected to the base to hold in place haha
oh which one? the base longish fox fur I used is from here! http://www.fabricempire.com/faux-fu.....-the-yard.aspx (chest and face) but they don't have black in that style. places like fabric.com have fox fur in white and black. https://www.fabric.com/buy/0260739/.....ctic-fox-black slightly different but similar. monkeyshag is from distinctivefabrics but it seems to be out
