Quick TF request done for
metalgearwolf. I'll need to revisit this idea in a larger form down the line, methinks. Enjoy!

M.G had just run into the convenience store to grab a carton of juice when it caught his eye: a packet of gel pens hanging on a rack surrounded by cheap staplers and pencil 5-packs. He hadn’t seen gel pens since elementary school and chuckled at the memory of how obsessed he and his fellow students had been with them. On a lark, he grabbed the pack alongside his juice—it was only 2$ and the last one on the shelf.
Upon returning home, M.G grabbed a sheet of paper and tested the pens out. A few scribbles in black proved they worked, and the ink looked just like he remembered. The black gel sparkled slightly in the light. M.G had forgotten how hypnotic it could be to stare at the slick substance. Something about the way it shimmered sparked a sudden idea. The pen met the paper and before M.G knew it, he was drawing.
Long peaks to the ears, large happy eyes, tufted furry cheeks, a smiling head somewhere between wolf and husky quickly took shape on the page, shimmering in gel. A body followed—a little broad in the chest but still reasonably-proportioned, slight tapering near the waist and a tad more cartoonish proportions for the paws. The hands were human-shaped save for where M.G dotted the palms with pads. He finished the doodle with a bushy, sweeping tail.
The outline took less than a minute to complete, much to M.G’s surprise. He’d never been the artistic type, but something about it all just felt right. He smiled at the drawing, still absorbed in the sparkle of the gel. It was like staring into a starry night sky. The sky was getting closer. Closer…
He fell on the page in a trance, form swirling away into ink and filling the drawing. The sketch’s body was filled with light gray, the paws with black, and the pads with pink. White took the tail-tip and ears as a shining blue formed the eyes.
The finished drawing lay there on the page for several minutes in the now-empty room. Then he blinked. He looked around. He looked at himself - a gel-penned wolf with a body that glimmered like stars.. With an exaggerated sound like peeling off a sticker, he climbed into the third dimension.
The drawing that had been M.G stood atop the table and looked around in awe. The room loomed over him, but it was exciting rather than intimidating. His tail twitched with anticipation and he quickly bounded off the table. The ground came hurtling up but he bounced harmlessly off the floor. The wolf snickered and ran off, eager to explore.
