Another recent commission of  Tygon character Mikia. This was a rather straightforward piece however I had never done dreadlocks before so I had to do a little reading up on them before I began. The character definitely has a certain swagger to her.

This commission is good example of the importance of trying to keep your client in the loop while you are creating the piece. I thought I had this piece more or less nailed but I decided to forward the preliminary sketch to the client to get their approval. They replied back with a couple corrections that were easy to fix early on in it picture, but would've been much more challenging to correct if I had already finished the drawing.
