As part of a promotion for my new roleplay forum, Aspect of the Wolf, I decided to illustrate a brief scene from the history of the area. Left-Foot was Connahei's close friend and Beta and often checked his emotional impulses, which Connahei usually thanked him for after the fact. This, however, is a special occasion. Connahei eventually ends up conceding and letting what's left of the invaders go back to their homelands in peace, but shortly after there's a forest fire and his entire territory is burned into a wasteland. During the fire, Left-Foot is killed. Connahei goes somewhat mad with sorrow at the loss of his friend (and replacement father-figure) and decides that the fire was a sign from the gods indicating that he should have seized the opportunity that presented itself by killing the invaders and taking their territory as spoils of war. To correct this error, he proceeds to take over all the surrounding land.

It's after this mass-takeover that the timeline of Aspect of the Wolf begins.
