Aaah.. This was a pretty amazing fight in the series! Luffy's voice actor did a great job with this very moment ;-;
"Gomu gomu no... JET... GATLINNNGGGAAAAAAAA" The way Luffy utterly DESTROYS Lucci, as he screams out, ignoring the pain that he must have been feeling at that moment. So INTENSE.

I've seen some bits long long long ago in the 90's but back then I was more into Disney stuff, being 9 or so
I'm interested, but its just too long for me and the plot doesn't get going after about 15 or so episodes
It looks more imaginative and adventurous than most of googly eyed Otaku-pandering stuff though

it is a really fun show, and its upsetting that no one will bother with it mostly because theres so many episodes, I havnt seen many shows that can mix drama, comedy and action so well, even characters they introduce you will hate with a passion but down the line you will end up cheering for that same character. I say just give it a chance
Are you up to the arc where they finished rescuing Robin and have made their escape from the navy as they rained down a Buster Call on Justice?
It gets so much better when we find out some more about Robin's past... Personally, I'm going to enjoy seeing what you think when they get to arc where they will add BROOK to their crew.. ( HULU has yet to put the full *season 6*... which I THINK leads into that arc... they have only so much room, and have put up as much as they can.. but they stop midway in season 6 and then skip to the middle of season 10 just before where the crew faces for the first time, the Navy's new Human Weapon.. the PACAFISTICA! )
It gets so much better when we find out some more about Robin's past... Personally, I'm going to enjoy seeing what you think when they get to arc where they will add BROOK to their crew.. What was even more fun was when everyone rejoined after spending 2 years training... Luffy gets cornered by the navy and 2 pacafista are with the niece that wields that huge axe, that originally, kicked luffy's ass..
I mean, when the entire crew first faced *ONE* Pacafista, it, by itself, nearly took the entire crew out...
but after the war of the best, and their personal training... a single Pacafista doesn't even slow Luffy down... nor Sanji or Zorro.. each one of them are now so strong, they can destroy a unit in a single shot.. which is pretty freaking scary in it's own right..
( I Loved it on the bubble island.. when Luffy was facing off against that pair of units... he hits one with a single "Jet Pistol Punch" while in second gear.. and it collapses in the *IMPACT CRATER* the force of the blow left... )

oh yes! that was a badass moment seeing him take one out with ease. Im just a bit upset that it seams nothing has changed even after those 2 years training, everyone still get their asses kicked except Luffy, everyone still has to be saved by someone, and Usop is even more a cry baby than even before the training. like what the hell!?
Well to be honest, Ustopp.. you have to give him and Chopper and Nami credit.. they are far tougher then they were before the tail end of the war of the best, and the training they underwent. Yes they are still not anywhere near as powerful as the things that Luffy, Zorro, Sanji can face... Robin, Brook and Franky are second tier to their power level.. and while Nami, Ustoop and Chopper are still the lowest on the power tree, they can take on dozens of mooks more then they could originally..
.. it's just that often, because of the top three.. they get faced with beings that can pretty much squash them.. and that's a very GOOD REASON to panic..
I mean good gawd. .in the current Arc with Donflamingo.. Brook, Chopper, Ustop and Nami are facing off with one of the DonFlamingo family and they've been pretty much rendered powerless and weaponless by the frigging Art-Art power of that lunatic fat woman... they have good reason to be worried hon..
