Great start to a promising project! I like the the 'scientific' explanations of why an otherwise 'flesh and blood' creatures could be virtually indestructable against modern weapons.
A few things didn't seem to work for me though. I didn't make sense to me for them to kill such a huge investment as merely part of a demonstration that showed they can kill it, which I think would be taken for granted considering they made the thing. Obviously, the only logical reason to even create such a beast, impervious to modern weapons, would be using it as a weapon itself. But if this were the case, the real demonstration would be to show that it could be controlled, and what both its offensive and defensive capabilities are. Probably the only way acceptable to possible 'buyers' would be if a human of their choosing could control it, probably in some sort of 'command center' implanted in the beast itself, with a "kill switch" if the creature somehow went out of control. A simple solution might be a kind of pill box implanted into the head, where the brain could be instantly pierced with a spike, perhaps.
It would be the ulitmate 'super-tank' that would never run out of fuel, as the 'fuel' would be the bodies of the enemy!
It would still make sense for the creature to be made intelligent, and also be able to function without someone in the pill box when not deployed in combat.
Hope we see more of this Megasaur! Thanks for sharing.

We certainly will see more of him. This creature is essentially almost immortal, the the designers were rightly concerned what would happen if any creature with this technology was out of control. SO, naturally, they planned to use it themselves first, after using a "disposable" test subject. I like your idea of a piloted "mecha-Megasaur" idea. Perhaps this it what will be done to combat it, after traditional methods fail.
I think my next installment will be Megasaur, but other, very different kaiju, will be rising across the world. Eventually they will battle for supremacy, as the new rulers of the earth.
