You know how when you glance at something for a split second, you think you're looking at something completely different?
When I saw the thumbnail of the pic, at first glance, I thought Wile E had just farted on accident, and was like, "Wait, what? OwO" then I looked at it, and found this to be much funnier than what I thought it was. XP

I suppose this was loosely based off the ending to Rudy Larriva's "Run Run Sweet Road Runner" from 1965? When Wile E. Coyote rigged up a lightning rod to look like a female Road Runner and performed an Indian rain dance to summon s thunderstorm, only for him to get struck by lightning?
Always nice to get an informed post from a fellow toonhead. I know the toon and the gag you refer to. My pic doesn't base itself from it specifically, though. It sort of evolved from some other WEC pics I had in which the tribal legends of "How Coyote Stole Fire" were the actual basis. But with the raindance, the toon-cycle comes full-circle to the Larriva-directed toon you describe. So you're quite right, though, like the lightning, the reference comes in the back door. ^+^
