Asstounding Tail, a tryptic for the collaborative "Butts!" panels K and I will have in the mature section of the Anthrocon Art Show.
I know my stream poked me into asking for potential butt volunteers, and then I didn't use any of 'em - not directly anyway, because it turned out it was better to have artistic freedom with the colors etc involved. HOWEVER, this one is totally inspired by volunteer Wavelength, who has a rather long tail (though not quite this long). XD
Acrylic on three 7"x5" stretched canvases.

It looks fantastic, though in trying to follow the tail, it seems to 'disconnect' at several points, as in there isn't a corresponding point on the next panel for the tail to pick up where it left off. I assume (or ASS-ume) at the panels were painted separately?
Also, once Anthrocon is over, I'll get back to you about my commission; I figured I'd wait until after the big rush.

I sketched the whole thing out as one piece first, digitally, then printed and transferred the sketch before painting. The tail does indeed connect the whole way through. Though the spacing I photographed it at isn't quite right oops. The panels should actually be a tiny bit further apart, if that helps. X3
