Is it some sort of special Sculpey? Or is it the white colored type? I know of all the colors and the skin colored soft and firm grey material in which I used to make Mary's figure but for some reason whatever you used shows a good amount of detail.. or is it just because your so talented
Oh it gets hard, I'm just saying if you bake it for TOO long it's not good.
See, wile clay is better the hotter it's fired, sculpty is better the less it's baked. It has directions to how many minutes per inch I think on the box..
But sculpty is polymer. You know how acrylic paint is made with plastic, suspended in water? Well sculpty is plastic, suspended in a sort of oil. When it's baked, the oil dries out of it (I'm assuming it's oil how it stains paper if you leave it on it) and that's how it hardens. But the more you bake it, the less stable it'll be. This is from personal experience, since at first I thought the longer I baked it the stronger it would be.. instead my things would crumble off the wire frame it was on o__o;
